The team leaded by Rubén Picazo will attend the event with six athletes that will dispute the Marathon in men’s category. Picazo’s team was runner-up in the Regional University Sports Championship in the last edition, and this year, they the team will participate with no option to improve the result on groups. According to the coach: “it is a shame that this year we have no women’s participation, because we couldn’t fight for the title of groups, but we will try to make a good performance in men’s category”.

In addition to athletes participation, the UV will also be present in this event, since in October, the UV organised informative sessions to participate in the event as voluntaries.  Thus, the Universitat de València joins the campaign “You make the Marathon possible”, whose main objective is to promote the experience of the sports voluntary work, as well as to value this collective in sports events.

This edition of the Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP will be the first marathon run of the history of Spain that has the recognition of Gold Label of the IAAF, that certifies this event of 42.195 metres as one of the best ones in the world. More than 27.500 runners will take over Valencia to enjoy one of the most expected events of the runner session.
