The studio 1 of the audio-visual studio (TAU) of the Universitat de València hosted the past 5 April the presentation of the call “Film Academy Summer Campus”.

This summer activity is an initiative of the Film Academy, with the collaboration of Netflix and the support of the Local Government of Valencia, the Universitat de València and the Universitat Politècnica de València. The public universities of the city will host these activities aimed to professionals of the audio-visual and film industry.

In the presentation participated the president of the Fil Academy, Mariano Barroso, the director of institutional relations of Netflix, Esperanza Ibáñez, and Valencia deputy mayor, Sandra Gómez.

Previously, the Film Academy and the Local Government of Valencia visited the facilities of the Audio-visual studio of the Universitat de València with the rector of the institution, Mª Vicenta Mestre.

For the deputy mayor, Sandra Gómez, this activity will “continue to show diversity from a Valencian perspective”. And so Valencia continues the work begun in 2015 to turn the city into a film stage.

For her part, the rector of the Universitat de València, Mª Vicenta Mestre, congratulated the institutions for selecting València and the Universitat de València to carry out this activities, highlighting that our university is the headquarters of the ATEI Association (Asociación de Televisiones Educativas y Culturales de Iberoamérica) pointing out the audio-visual initiative of the UV, lead by the TAU, which make us the leading Spanish university in university audio-visual production.
