The Valencia Orchestra performs in Serenates for the benefit of the Association Against Cancer

The Valencia Orchestra returns another year to the Serenates Festival. Under the direction of the Valencian young Albert Gonzálvez Cardós, the audience will be able to listen an undoubtedly attractive musical programming. Moreover, it has a training, educational and solidary character since it will be for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer of València. The entry to the concert is priced at only 3€. The concert will be this Thursday 29 June at 22:30 in the Cloister of La Nau.

The festival ‘Serenates’ celebrates its 30th anniversary. It takes place at the Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València and it started on 24 June and will finish on 9 July. Under the direction of the Valencian young Albert Gonzálvez Cardós, the audience will be able to listen an undoubtedly attractive musical programming which, apart from that, has a training, educational and solidary character since it will be for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of València.

The experience of previous years of including young musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the UV into the Valencia Orchestra will be repeated this year. Therefore, some of the works which will be included are: ‘Pedro y el lobo’ of Prokófiev, an educational work for all ages with the performance of the narrator Ángel Fígols, a great Valencian actor; ‘El aprendiz a brujo’, of Paul Dukas, which is rhythmic, magical and present in the collective imagination thanks to the Disney film ‘Fantasy’ as well as the intriguing and coloristic ‘La Mer’ of Debussy.
