Video call of the principals with the regional minister of Universities

The principals of Valencian public universities and the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society met this Thursday to analyse the evolution of the pandemic in the Valencian Community. They have reached an agreement to return on March 1 to the hybrid teaching model planned in each university for the second semester.

The Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society and the Valencian Public University system agreed on 26 January 2021 to minimise on-campus teaching during February and assess the situation in view of the pandemic’s evolution in the Valencian Community.

The regional minister and the principals of public universities met this Thursday, February 18, to analyse the situation.

In light of the current development of health data in the Valencian Community, it was decided at today’s meeting to:

  • Resume the hybrid teaching model that each university had planned and approved for the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year on Monday, March 1.
  • Implement the contingency plan established by each university to ensure the safety of their premises and safeguard the health of the university community.

The Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society and the Valencian Public University System will continue to work hand in hand to make decisions that are deemed necessary at any given moment to offer quality education as safely as possible. Implemented measures will be assessed according to the health situation, which will be taken into account at all times.
