The Valencian Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Vicent Soler, addresses the new Valencian economic model in a conference at La Nau

The conference cycle of ‘La sociedad valenciana en transformación (1975-2025)’ will continue on the 26th of February with a speech of the current Valencian Ministry Deputy of Finance and Economic Planning, Vicent Soler and it will take place in the Aulta Magna of the Cultural Centre La Nau at 6.30 p. m. In the debate, free entry until full seating, the new Valencian economic model will be analysed as a conclusion of the previous seminars of the cycle and Juan Romero, professor in Human Geography of the Universitat de València will be the moderator.

The following conference, called ‘Nuevo modelo social e igualdad de género’ will take place on March 4th and will count on the participation of Xavi Uceda, graduated in Sociology and holder of a Master’s degree in International Cooperation; Capitolina Díaz, Professor in Sociology at the Universitat de València and doctor in Sociology by the London University and María Such, politician, lawyer and political expert.  

Finally, on Monday, April 8th, the conference ‘Valencia rica, Valencia pobre’ will close the series with Ximo Azagra, Senior Lecturer in History and Institutions, and Francisco Goerlich, graduated and doctor in Economical Sciencies by the Univesitat de València.

‘La sociedad valenciana en transformación (1975-2025)’ is a work with an interdisciplinary will that incoporates researchers of the public univerisity with the purpose of creating a solid database that contributes to political planning and to the creation of public action. This way, the volume, which has been published by Publicacions de la Universitat de Valencia and the Institución Alfonso el Magnánimo, analyses thoroughly the evolution of the Valencian society thanks to the contribution of many Valencian teachers of public universities from several fields of knowledge: Sociology, Economics, Geography, Anthropology or Political Sciences.
