The University of Valencia adopts a new regulation for selecting the Administration and Services staff
Governing Council session on the 2nd of February 2021

The new regulation for selecting the Administration and Services staff (PAS) was approved by the Governing Council held on February 2, 2021 with the consensus of every agent represented at the negotiating table of the University of Valencia.

The Governing Council has approved a new regulation for selecting the Administration and Services staff of the University of Valencia at the ordinary session held on the 2nd of February.

This regulation had previously been approved by every agent represented at the negotiating table of the University of Valencia, the collective bargaining instrument of the institution composed of the Administration and the following unions: CCOO, CSIF, UGT and STEPV.

The Governing Council, the collegiate governing body of the University of Valencia responsible for the broad outlines of university policy approved by the Senate, is in charge of adopting this regulation. Due to its repealing provision, it substitutes up to nine agreements that addressed this matter and seeks to comprehensively regulate aspects covered by a wide range of legislation.

The new agreed text standardises selection processes for general and special administration, establishes competitive examination as the standard access mode to the administration and replaces the discretional nature of some elements of previous legislation with regulated systems.
