Academic, scientific or professional interest:

The Degree in Psychology trains professionals with the scientific knowledge required to understand, interpret, analyse and explain human behaviour by applying the fundamental skills and abilities needed to make assessments and work in individual and social areas, with the aim of promoting and improving health and quality of life. This includes knowledge of psychological processes, stages in evolutional development, the biological foundations of human behaviour and psychological functions, as well as its psychosocial principles. Furthermore, students are taught about the different research methods and techniques involved in data analysis, as well as the main psychological methods involved in psychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention that are used in diverse fields.

Worth Noting:

In order to facilitate the adaptation of new students to the Psychology degree, the faculty offers support through a peer mentors program called “EntreIguals”.

The Faculty of Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy has agreements with numerous institutions and offers around 400 places each year for external internships in real work environments.

It is possible to be part of a group that receives most of the teaching in English, a feature which is recorded in the European Diploma Supplement after graduation.
