Dear colleague: November 16, 1998
The Third Annual Conference of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought will be held in Valencia, Spain, 26-28 February 1999. The Conference will take place at the 'Palacio de Pineda' of the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) (a small recently restored eighteenth century palace located without walking distance to the city centre). We remind you that the Call for Papers was sent out by Conference Scientific Committee last spring. The deadline for receiving proposals expired August 30.
The general theme of the conference will be "National Traditions in Economic Thought and the Diffusion of Ideas". The conference will have both a thematic part and an open part. The Annual General Meeting of ESHET will take place in the afternoon of Saturday 27, and afterwards there will be the Society Official Dinner. The morning of Sunday 28 will be dedicated to the last parallel sessions up to 12.30. After this last morning session the conference will draw to a close at lunchtime. You will recieve a provisional program of the conference in good time.
