Seminar 1: New forms of work and employment in Europe and globally:
" Organisations and business models change from independent small units, to large autocratic conglomerates and decentralised networks When organizations become networks, when people work in geographically and organizationally dispersed places, are mobile and cooperate in virtual groups, there are often severe problems that must be prevented and/or solved. This seminar will focus on new forms of organizations in Europe and globally, such as telework, project organizations and virtual organizations"
Seminar 2: Psychological theories of group work
" Theories of group work and Group Processes are discussed. Specifically, Action Theory, Activity Theory, Structuration Theory and Adaptive Structuration Theory and several other, particularly group dynamic notions are brought together. In this way three levels of behaviour analysis are taken into account, i.e. individual goal directed behaviour and cognitive processes, interpersonal and group processes and macro-social processes "
Seminar 3: Working with groupware
"Groupware is a technology designed to help people working in groups to communicate their ideas more easily. The term refers to a specific class of technologies that rely on modern computer networks, such as e-mail, newsgroups and video-phones. This seminar provides an introduction to groupware and analyzes its potential and implications, including a systematic analysis of the conditions required for successful collaborative technology"
