Library

The Library

The Library contains fully refereed materials only.

Currently available:

In development:
  • The texts of the plays, with commentary, and electronic versions of the originals

  • Theatrical and performance archives

Theater

The Theater

The Theater will contain a growing database of performance records, both from collections and archives of historical collections, and from current productions of participating companies, festivals, and Theater departments.

As an introduction to the kinds of materials that will be made available, the site currently provides a series of illustrative pages developed from a recent production of Romeo and Juliet by the Theatre Department at the University of Victoria.

Guidelines have also been established for the acquisition and display of all performance materials.

Annex

The Annex

The Annex makes available various materials in a more informal format: drafts, discussions, and non-refereed texts that will nonetheless be useful to Shakespeare scholars.

At present, the Annex offers the following resources:

In due course, the Annex will also offer a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
