Macaroni Cheese and Ham.

INGREDIENTS: (Serves 4-6.)

  • 175g/6oz. macaroni.
  • 175g/6oz. gratted cheddar cheese.
  • 50g/2oz. diced cooked ham.
  • 2 tbls brown breadcrums.
  • Salt and pepper.
White Souce:
  • 40g/1.5oz. butter.
  • 40g/1.5oz. plain flour.
  • 450ml/0.75pt. milk.
Melt butter, add flour and cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and slowly add milk.
Return to heat and allow to thicken.
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/GasMark4.
Cook the macaroni and drain thoroughly.
Maenwhile make white souce.
Add 150g/5oz. of the grated cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper.
Stir in macaroni and ham.
Pour into a greased ovenproof dish and top with remaining grated cheese and breadcrums.
Cook in oven for approximately 25 minutes or until cheese is browned.
