     Dear comrades:
Of course, imperialists are killers. Of course, our criticism to
terrorism against the people have not the same meaning as the criticism
by the imperialists:
Imperialists criticize terrorism because they claim the monopoly of
the violence. We criticize terrorism because we fight for a world
without violence. Imperialists criticize terrorism by defending
militarism. We criticize terrorism by coherence with our antimilitarism.
These are general considerations. But, if we speak specifically
about ETA, we don't consider that ETA "wage a struggle of national or
social liberation". On the contrary, ETA are "real terrorists (...) who
murder the peoples": they murder civil people, and not only of a
supposed "oppressive nation": also of oppressed nations as Catalonia,
Galicia... and Euskadi.
It is very important to distinguish between revolutionary
organizations as EZLN in Mexico, FMLN in El Salvador, UNRG in
Guatemala (and, we think, DHKC in Turkia), which fight against military
powers, and terrorist organizations as ETA or GAL in Euskadi and Spain,
or "narcos" in America, which murder the peoples. Every collaboration
between them should be excluded.
It is important to underline that the present ETA has a different
nature than the old ETA who fought against Franco: the old ETA was a
revolutionary organization, and the PCE and other democratic
organizations collaborated with them, although we criticized its
methods (we also collaborated inside the prisons of Franco: myself
shared a hunger strike with members of ETA in the prison); the present
ETA is a criminal and mafioso organization (also the sicilian Mafia was
a revolutionary organization in the past century, you know...) which
lives of murder and extortion.
In fact, many members of the old ETA belong in the present to
democratic organizations which fight against the present ETA... and
against GAL, of course: to fight equally against ETA and GAL is a heart
of the matter of democracy in the present Euskadi and Spain.
    Communist regards from

P.S.: I include, as a matter of clarification, a translation of an
article which I published in a daily in Valencia, Spain.
