Interactive Applets

Interactive Applets require students to continue to interact with ViSta after the applet is downloaded from the web.

For example, an interactive applet is used to demonstrate the central limit theorem. The applet interacts with the student to get the student to generate a population distribution and to repeatedly sample from the population. As the student does this, the sampling distributions of sample means and standard deviations gradually take shape.

The student would be told to click here to see a demonstration of the central limit theorem. Dialog boxes explain how to interact.

If you don't have ViSta installed click here to see what the applet has done after the student has selected the normal distribution and generated several samples.
