Short biography
Begoña Verdejo Viu, PhD, received her Chemistry Degree and PhD Degree from University of Valencia in 2002 and 2007 respectively. Over the next two years, 2007-2009, she was a Post-Doctoral Researcher (Beatriu de Pinós programme) with Prof. Pablo Balllester at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ). She returned to University of Valencia as Superior Laboratory Technician during 2010. Currently, she holds a Juan de La Cierva Fellowship in the Supramolecular Chemistry at the University of Valencia.Her research interests centers on the design, synthesis and supramolecular chemistry of polyamine receptors, with particular interest on their interaction with metal ions and anions, recognition of species of biomedical interest and enzyme mimicking.
