DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT AND POLICY

Management and Policy is one of six academic departments in the Eller College of Business and Public Administration. The Eller College of Business and Public Administration is one of 17 colleges of the University of Arizona in beautiful Tucson, Arizona. A highly ranked institution, the Eller College is a center for professional education as well as for frontier-advancing research. Innovative Entrepreneurship, International Business and Executive Education programs bridge the classroom with the real world.
The Department of Management and Policy Ph.D. Program offers a flexible mix of course work and experience in teaching and research and prepares its Ph.D. students for research and teaching positions at major universities. The program provides strong theoretical and methodological training, with an emphasis on research. Course work encompasses a broad range of theories and methodologies including those from psychology, sociology, political science and management. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a wide variety of managerial and staff positions, as well as for post-graduate work in such fields as business, public administration, and law. Fields of study include organizational theory, organizational behavior, and judgment/decision making.

Decision Behavior Laboratory (DBL)
The DBL is both an instructional and research laboratory for the Eller College of Business and Policy Administration. The Decision Behavior Laboratory is maintained by the Deparment of Management and Policy. The facility consists of eight rooms with capacity for four students each, two network management and operations rooms, and a small conference room for meetings and subject debriefing. Each room is equipped with two PCs which are connected to an NT network, which allows faculty and students to run interactive applications, participate in class exercises, and conduct on-line experiments in the areas of individual and group decision making.
