Born in Valencia, Spain, in 1948, I have been working at the Departamento de Didàctica de la Matemàtica of the Universitat de València since 1975. In 2008 and 2009 I’m also working as a Researcher at the Departamento de Matemática Educativa of the CINVESTAV of IPN, Mexico, DF.

I am honorary president of the Societat d’Educació Matemàtica de la Comunitat Valenciana “al-Khwārizmī”, having been its president from its founding in 1993 until 2006.

I was director of the Colegio Mayor “Luis Vives” from november 1998 to september 2007

I have referenced here the books I have written or edited, some selected texts I have written as a mathematics educator, and also some works outside mathematics education.
