How to get the documentation:

The documentation is the same for all operating systems. You can get it in three ways:

Adobe Acrobat Files can be downloaded from this page. They can also be obtained by FTP. We recommend Adobe Acrobat files because the files are small and download quickly; can be viewed on your screen; can be printed on any printer (even non-postscript printers); and are the same for all operating systems. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available from Adobe at no cost.

Postscript Files can be downloaded from this page. They can also be obtained by FTP. Postscript files are not as useful as Acrobat files. Although no special reader is needed, the files cannot be seen on your screen and can only be printed on postscript printers. Also, the files are large and are therefore slow to download or ftp. Finally, different files are needed for different operating systems.

Nicely Bound, Two-Sided Hardcopy can be obtained by mail as described on this page. This format is nicely bound, printed on both sides (using half the paper), looks better, and requires no special software or hardware! (Of course, it costs money, and takes longer to get to you!)

FTP Postscript Files

You may FTP the files from ftp://192.41.30.119/pub/visuaftp/ViSta/

The Adobe Acrobat files are contained in the pdf subdirectory, while the remaining files are in the directory named after their operating system. The filenames are as given in the table.

Hardcopy by Mail

You may obtain a nicely bound, two-sided hardcopy of the documentation. To do this, please mail a check or international money order to Forrest Young at the address on my home page. Please also send me email letting me know you are requesting a hardcopy. A check or money order should be in US dollars and drawn on a US bank. It should be made payable to "UNC Psychometric Lab" (or "Forrest Young", if necessary) in one of the following amounts:

    USA & Canada: $10.00 (U.S.$)

    Mexico: $15.00 (U.S.$)

    Elsewhere: $25.00 (U.S.$)
