- Relativistic jets in GRBs:
This are some gifs of my current work in relativistic simulations of
GRBs in collaboration with Ewald Muller, Jose M. Marti and J.M. Ibanez.
Initial models where calculated by Andrew MacFadyen and Stan E.
Woosley (see astro-ph/9810274) using a two-dimensional (newtonian)
hydrodynamics code (PROMETHEUS).
- Progenitors of Long GRBs (collapsar models)
- Progenitors of Short GRBs (collapsar models)
- Newest results: Movie showing a volume rendering of a ultrarelativistic jet generated after the merger of a pair of compact objects.

Abstract:
This are some gifs of my current work in relativistic simulations of

Woosley (see astro-ph/9810274) using a two-dimensional (newtonian)
hydrodynamics code (PROMETHEUS).
Notation:
The files have are named using the sintax: aaabbbbb.gif, where
- aaa: is the variable ploted and can be one of the following:
- mod = modulus of the velocity.
- vlr = radial velocity.
- vlt = theta velocity.
- vlf = phy velocity.
- ene = internal energy per unit of mass (log scaling).
- pre = pressure (log scaling).
- rho = density (log scaling).
- bbbbb: is the time in miliseconds.
Contents:
* 200x180 directory: Evolution of the model h042rlh realising energy at
a constant deposition rate of 10**50 erg/s into a
solid angle of 30 degrees around the polar axis
and covering the radial range: [200, 600] km.
The resolution is: (r, theta) = (200, 180) zones,
being the mesh logarithmic in r
