PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Valencia, with master’s degrees in Big Data & Business Intelligence, Occupational Risk Prevention, and Supply Chain Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. His doctoral dissertation focused on the development of tools and procedures for building high-quality datasets. In this context, he participated as a member of the Research Group on Electoral Processes and Public Opinion (GIPEyOP) in the creation of the SEA Database, the most comprehensive database on electoral results in Spain.

He has taken part in several research projects related to the generation of high-quality data and the proposal of socioeconomic indicators. Examples include AI supported and enhanced creativity for the triple transition (AI-SECRETT), funded by the European Union (DIGITAL-2024-ADVANCED-DIGITAL-07 Programme); Understanding individual behavior in a dynamic context: Information, Culture and Institutions (PID2021-128228NB-I00IP), funded by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation; Information, context, characteristics and preferences: mediators of economic and social change. Creating effective institutions and engaged societies (AICO/2021/257), funded by the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Government of Valencia; and Deciphering individual and aggregate behaviors in dynamic environments, persuasion, inequality and exchanges (CIAICO/2023/031), funded by the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment of the Government of Valencia.

As Director of the Defense Economics, Cybersecurity and Protection Research Group at the University of Valencia (GIUV2024-606), he has served as Principal Investigator of two nationwide research projects: One year of war in Ukraine: Spaniards’ assessment of the conflict and its implications for security and the economy, funded by the Spanish Centre for Sociological Research (CIS); and Emerging threats and National Security: analysis of resources, impacts and strategic responses (130-235209), funded by the General Secretariat for Defence Policy (Ministry of Defence).

He has also participated in numerous knowledge-transfer contracts and agreements, including: a collaboration agreement between the Regional Government of Valencia—through the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment—and the University of Valencia for the development of macroeconomic forecasts for the Valencian economy; the development of a functional indicator system to collect, analyze, and disseminate information on cultural dynamics at the local level (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces); the service for identifying and analyzing short-term economic monitoring indicators for the Valencian Community (Valencian Institute of Statistics); the updating of data on the budgetary structure, economic scale, and economic impact of musical societies in the Valencian Community (Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community); and the monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impacts of Valencia’s designation as World Design Capital 2022 (Valencia City Council), among others.
