He holds a degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences (with Extraordinary Award), a master’s degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, and a PhD in Statistics and Optimization (with Extraordinary Award). He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics (area of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business) and serves as Director of the Actuarial Biometrics Observatory of the Spanish Actuarial Research Center (CIAE).
His research activity focuses on the field of demographic indicators, particularly those related to mortality analysis. The results of his research studies are applied both in the insurance sector and in the public pension system.
