Cristina Mas

Cristina Mas-Bargues graduated in Pharmacy with special award and then obtained her postgraduate master’s degree in Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, where she joined José Viña’s lab. During her PhD, she focused on stem cells senescence and oxidative stress, and made a 4-month stay at UC Berkeley. She is currently on a postdoc fellowship to investigate the role of BCL-xL on longevity through its interaction with senescence, apoptosis and autophagy pathways.
