Once you have registered through the Google Form and after the pre-registration period has ended, we will send you an email confirming your registration for the selection auditions. A few days before the auditions, we will send you another email with the details. The auditions for the 2024-2025 course will tentatively be held on October 16, 2024 (location to be confirmed) from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (in one-hour groups).
WHY ARE SELECTION TESTS HELD?
Due to the large number of registrations we receive, we hold selection auditions where we primarily assess your enthusiasm and excitement about participating in the project. We also consider any theatrical, stage, or artistic experience you may have, as well as your physical coordination or musical or dance abilities.
IF SELECTED, WHAT WILL THE CLASS SCHEDULE BE LIKE AND WHERE WILL THEY TAKE PLACE?
If you are one of the selected participants, classes will start on October 23, 2024. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Master of Secondary Education Building of the University of Valencia (C/ Alcalde Reig, 8), near the Palau de les Arts. The course will run from October 2024 to February 2025. After the training course, students will move on to the production process of the show that will feature in the 2025 Escena Erasmus summer tours.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The course is completely free and fully funded by the organizing institutions. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a training diploma and another for 2 ECTS credits. Additionally, if you join the final artistic production, you will receive an additional 2 ECTS credits.
IF I AM AN ERASMUS STUDENT, DO I NEED TO HAVE AN ADVANCED LEVEL OF SPANISH?
No. You do not need to have perfect Spanish. The classes and activities will help improve your Spanish gradually.
I HAVE SCHEDULING CONFLICTS WITH THE CLASS TIMES, IS THERE A SOLUTION?
If you want to participate in the Escena Erasmus project, you need to consider that you must attend the acting workshop classes every Wednesday afternoon. When the rehearsal and production process of the show begins, you will need to attend almost every afternoon for about 6 weeks. Therefore, we recommend that you do not schedule any other classes during this time. If you still need to enroll in a class that conflicts with this schedule, the relevant Vice-rectorates can provide you with a justificatory document to change groups or discuss with your professor.
