The development of more efficient and sustainable processes to access molecular complexity is a fundamental topic in Organic Chemistry. The use of homogeneous catalysts based on earth-abundant, environmentally friendly, easily available, and cheap first-row metals is a challenge in many industrial processes.

Our Research Group developes sustainable catalytic transformations for the synthesis of industrially relevant organic chemicals. The design of hogeneous catalysts is based on abundant first-row transition metals and catalysts efficiency is improved through ligand engineering. Mechanistic studies and structural determination of intermediates allow the deepening of the understanding of the reaction pathways opening new organic frontiers.
