The Workshop on Spoken Corpus Linguistics in the framework of the research project to build the oral corpus “Parlars. Corpus Oral del Valencià Col·loquial”, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana (ref. GV/2017/094).
The second edition of the Workshop on Spoken Corpus Linguistics is aimed at being a forum for discussion among linguists that work on methodologies related to spoken corpora. The conference focuses on the construction of text corpora (data collection, selection of informants, dialectal and social divisions, labelling and annotation of the corpus) as well as on the exploitation and corpus-based studies (phonetics, morphosyntax, semantics and pragmatics). On the other hand, the format chosen for this edition of the workshop consists in a session with presentations by invited speakers. All the invited speakers are experts from research centres and companies. All the sessions are open and it is not required to be registered. However, it is possible to register for free in order to obtain an attendance certificate. Only registered attendees that prove that have attended to a minimum number of talks are eligible for an attendance certificate.
