The NEUROPHARAD research group has been working for more than 20 years on different neuropharmacological and neurochemical aspects of the treatment of relapse in alcoholism. Currently, the two main lines of research are focused on the study of the neurobiological mechanisms involved in ethanol addiction (led by Dr. Luis Granero), and the development of new therapeutic targets for the treatment of alcoholism (led by Dra. Ana Polache).
