The aim of my work focuses on the study and implementation of intervention programs with state-of-the-art technologies to improve social skills in individuals with autism and intellectual disability. I design and implement these intervention programs in natural settings according to three premises: (1) they are built on a rigorous scientific basis, (2) they can be potentially efficient for users and (3) they are accessible and helpful for parents, carers and practitioners, who are, after all, responsible for individuals' daily education and wellbeing.

Applied statistics and research methods are my other passion. A decade ago I used them in the field of Traffic and Road Safety. Currently, I am deeply devoted to providing a variety of Social and Health Sciences research fields, including Special Educational Needs, with the most appropriate research designs and the best fitting statistical techniques.
