. Degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematics (specializing in Statistics and Operations Research) from the Universitat de València. I joined the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, first as a collaborating lecturer until 1989, then as temporary lecturer (until 1990), tenured lecturer (until 2017) and finally as Full Professor, the position I hold at present. Since 2017 I have been an Associate in Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS). I currently have five six-year research periods, with 2021 being the last year of the fifth six-year period granted. My research has always been developed in the area of Statistics, always from the Bayesian Methodology. My main research interests are Survival Analysis, Longitudinal Modelling, Joint Longitudinal and Survival Data Models, and lately I am very interested in Bayesian networks. I also like to explore the application of Bayesian Inference in subjects such as Archaeology Biomedicine, Dosimetry, and Sport. A total of 136 publications, being 56 articles in journals indexed in the JCR Science Edition (36 in the areas of Statistics and Probability, and Operations Research and Management Science and 25 in the first quartile). Participation in meeting presenting a total of 274 communications, 147 in international conferences and 42 invited communications. Lectures at various institutions and universities such as the University of Cambridge Lancaster University, University of Edinburgh, University of Lisboa, University of Luxembourg, etc. Research stays in foreign research centres: Three months as Visiting Research Associate in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (Statistical Laboratory) at the University of Cambridge in 2009; As Visiting Research Associate in Combining Health Information, Computation and Statistics at Lancaster University (UK), I have spent three months in 2011, one month in 2012 and three months in 2013; and two and a half months in 2016 and 2017 and two months in 2019 in Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS).
