Graduate in Biological Sciences (2010) and MSc in Basic and Applied Neurosciences (2011) from the University of València. PhD in Neuroscience (2017, Cum Laude, International Mention) from the same institution, focused on systems neuroscience and biological data analysis, under the supervision of Vicent Teruel-Martí and Ana Cervera-Ferri (University of València).
During my doctoral training, I held two competitive research contracts. In 2015, I developed an analytical system to improve electrode implantation accuracy during Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgeries for Parkinson’s disease, in the laboratory of Juan Guerrero (University of València). This work resulted in a registered software/patent (DBScan; NQ Software Register No. 164431). Between 2015 and 2016, I worked in the laboratory of Enrique Lanuza (University of València) investigating the role of vomeronasal amygdaloid signal coding in social behaviors, which resulted in a peer-reviewed publication (Pardo-Bellver et al., 2017).
In 2018, I began my postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Balázs Hangya at the Institute of Experimental Medicine (Hungary). In 2019, I was awarded a competitive Postdoctoral Fellowship funded by Generalitat Valenciana and the European Social Fund to develop a joint research project between the laboratories of Vicent Teruel-Martí (University of València) and Balázs Hangya (Institute of Experimental Medicine). In 2022, I obtained a María Zambrano Fellowship (Call 2021) for the attraction of international talent, which allowed me to continue my research as a Distinguished Researcher at the University of València.
My research focuses on the study of the basal forebrain cholinergic system in normal and pathological aging, using transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. During my postdoctoral period, I have supervised undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students,
providing both technical and theoretical training. Since completing my PhD, I have actively participated in national and international scientific meetings, presenting my research in more than forty communications (oral presentations and posters).
Since 2024, I hold a position as Assistant Professor (Ayudante Doctor) in the Department of Anatomy at the University of València
