Biografia

He holds a PhD and MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València, an MSc in Mathematics from the Universitat de València (Faculty of Mathematics), and an Executive MBA from Accenture (USA). His interdisciplinary background combines quantitative methods, artificial intelligence, data analytics, applied mathematics, telecommunications engineering and business strategy.

Before joining Universitat de València, he developed his professional career at Accenture, where he worked in the High Performance Department and later as Strategy Manager within the Processes & Strategy Division, leading initiatives in business transformation, data analytics, digital innovation and process optimisation for large international organisations. He subsequently held positions as Innovation Consulting Manager at Stratesys and Head of Research, Innovation & Development at CIT Group and its associated start-ups.

Throughout his career, he has coordinated and participated in numerous European R&D projects, including INTEROP, SMARTV2G, MOBINCITY, FISPACE (FIWARE ecosystem), AAL (Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme), iCareCoops and ELIAI, resulting in the CAPPD patent for intelligent decision-support systems. He currently leads the Quantum & AI Value Analytics (QAVA) Research Group at Universitat de València, where research focuses on artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, quantum technologies, algorithmic economics and quantitative methods for business, marketing and decision-making.

He is also a researcher in EconCulT (Research in Cultural Economics), investigating the socio-economic impact of artificial intelligence on creative and cultural industries, labour markets, professional skills and digital transformation. He currently participates in the Horizon Europe projects AI-SECRETT (Grant Agreement No. 101226207) and AISHA (Grant Agreement No. 101217114), both addressing AI skills, innovation ecosystems and the Triple Transition.

His research lies at the intersection of applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced statistical methods, data science, ecological inference, e-voting systems, smart mobility, economic resilience, forecasting models, quantitative marketing, algorithmic economics and quantum-inspired analytics for decision-making. His recent work also addresses the socio-economic impact of extreme climate events through mobility analytics, predictive modelling and economic recovery assessment.

He has published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and actively participates in competitive national and European research projects, technology transfer initiatives and international scientific conferences. He has also served as Expert Member of the European Commission (EC ID EX2013D133553) and member of the Advisory Board of the Information Society Research Lab (ISRLab).
