RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests are in the area of wireless sensor networks (WSN), joint sensor selection and multi-hop routing for distributed estimation. My present work is based on an adaptive bit allocation strategy to each sensor measurement in the field of large scale WSNs. Estimation for dynamic target location is also a part of my present work.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Universidad de Valencia, Valencia, Spain
Ph.D. Fellow (April 2009 to present)
- Actively involve in advanced research in the area of Wireless Sensor Network and working for the project SENDORA (an European seventh framework project). It includes current Ph.D. research and course work.
The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur (Rajasthan), India
Lecturer (September 2008 to March 2009)
- During this time I have taken Analog communication laboratory and tutorials related to Analog communication course.
LNM Scholar (February 2005 to September 2008)
- Actively involved in advanced research in the area of Wireless Communication. The core eld is Software-De ned Radio for GSM. Have designed GSM uplink and downlink (MS to BTS and BTS to MS respectively), i.e. Speech Coding / Decoding, Channel Coding / Decoding, Interleaving / De-interleaving, Ciphering / De-ciphering, GMSK (8PSK for data) Modulation / Demodulation, and Channel simulation with AWGN and Raleigh Fading with the standard parameter from the GSM standard in MATLAB / SIMULINK. Improved result for Raleigh fading channel with four path signal at Eb/No ~ 10-3 dB phase noise using various polynomial vectors for convolution encoding and Viterbi decoding of the order of K= 5, 7 and 9.
- Successfully implemented and used as a hard decision type Serially Concatenated Convolutional Code (Iterative Decoders or Turbo Codes) with interleavers for AWGN channel, using soft-input soft-output (SISO) and additive log-likelihood version (L-SISO) algorithms. Have achieved better results compared to Viterbi decoders in terms of SNR improvements, and succeeded in accomplishing BER = 8.972 × 10-5 at SNR = 2 dB. Results have been presented in the National Conference on Communication 2008 Mumbai (India).
- Software platform I have selected MATLAB / SIMULINK, Code Composure Studio, and C. I designed and implement a cost e ective SDR realization module (a research paper based on this work is published in Singapore). Two tasks have been veri ed and tested, i.e. for text and image data transmission from one SDR realization module to other. I used Texas Instruments DSP series TMS-320C6713 DSK board for baseband processing, and hardware with Loop antenna I have designed for IF and RF processing for high frequency (HF) tunable range from 3 MHz to 11.7 MHz.
Additional designed projects for UG students:
- PCM (Pulse Code Modulation)
- Designed 8-bit PCM system using popular basic ICs LM318, 74LS161, and transistors BC547, BC557, and 2N2222A for sampling frequency at 8 kbps.
- DM (Delta Modulator) and ADM (Adaptive Delta Modulator) Designed Delta Modulator and Adaptive Delta Modulator using same basic components mentioned above.
- ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying), FSK (Frequency Shift Keying), PSK (Phase Shift Keying), and QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulation and demodulation. Designed these four for the data rate 2 kbps using basic components as above.
- MATLAB and SIMULINK simulation:
Programming and simulation of BPSK, DQPSK, GMSK, ADM, Carrier Recovery, Clock Recovery systems in MATLAB and SIMULINK, and simulated for GSM channel uplink and downlink with the data rate of 9.6 kbps (including speech coding, channel coding, interleaving, ciphering, GMSK, 8-PSK modula-
tion / Demodulation). - Assisted UG laboratories:
Analog Communication Laboratory and Digital Communication Laboratory
Teaching Assistant (October 2004 - February 2005)
- Taught digital circuit design, electronics devices, digital systems, and taken analog laboratory.
