A little about me

I obtained the Licenciado in Physics and the Electronics Engineer degrees from the University of Valencia. After two years of intense research on the applicability of neural networks to analyse the usage of a web portal I obtained the MSc degree. Then my research interest shifted towards computational electromagnetics, specifically I studied the propagation of extremely low frequency (ELF) signals in the Earth-ionosphere cavity by means of the FDTD method. The main results of this research were summarized in my PhD thesis. After I was awarded with the PhD degree by the University of Valencia in 2007, I joined the Medical Physics group at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Since then I have been focused on the improvement of numerical models in tomographic reconstruction for PET, SPECT and CT scanners.
