Abstract:

The main objective of this project is to promote the role that expanding the frontiers of astrophysics can play as a driver of innovation in computing, with a technological focus on GPU-accelerated computing. The scientific focus is on computational astrophysics of supernovae (SNe), neutron stars (NSs) and black holes (BHs), with contributions to theoretically explain the observations in the new era of multi- messenger astrophysics (including the production of observables for major observatories such as Virgo, Einstein Telescope, Athena, Fermi, etc.).
