The Micro PET/CT unit belongs to UCIM, that can be found at the University of Medicine and Destistry.

The unit have a Micro PET/CT apparatus, merging both tecniques allows to realize images in small animal and to obtain images with double information, Cell Function (Metabolism) images obtained by PET and on the other hand Anatomical Images provided by CT.

However, we can also use only the CT to obtain images for other kind of specimen (bones, teeth, ...etc).

TAC: an image tecnique used in medicine that uses X-Rays to obtain cuts of anatomical objects for diagnostic purposes.
