Biography

Amelia Mañá has a degree in Psychology and Psychopedagogy and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Valencia. She is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Teacher Training. 

She teaches subjects related to the educational care of students with specific educational needs (SEN) in the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education and in the Master's Degree in Special Education.

She is a researcher at ERI-Lectura and belongs to the Digital Reading and Meta-Analytical Studies in Education (LED) research group. She has focused on the study of the cognitive, metacognitive and motivational processes involved in reading, both on paper and in digital environments. She has participated in various national and European research and transfer projects and contracts related to the assessment and improvement of students' reading comprehension and competence in compulsory education, including students with SEN, as well as in teacher training. 

Since 2018, she has taken on leadership responsibilities in the Faculty of Teacher Training, such as head of her departmental section, course coordinator for the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, TFG coordinator, Vice-Dean of Internships and Participation, and currently Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
