Biography

Lucía Bellés-Calvera holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, Literature and Translation from Universitat Jaume I. She also completed a Master's Degree in Teaching Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching at the same university. Currently, she is a full-time lecturer in the Department of English and German Philology at the Universitat de València, where she teaches several subjects in English for Specific Purposes. She is also a member of the IULMA research institute and secretary of AELFE, the European Association of Languages for Specific Purposes. In addition, she has combined her duties with positions related to book publishing and multimedia reviews in academic journals such as Language Value and Ibérica.

Her research interests focus on the teaching and learning of foreign languages through the use of technological resources, multilingual education and discourse analysis. Her work has been published in academic journals such as LACLIL, Quaderns de Filologia: Estudis Lingüístics, Sintagma, Verbeia, Lengua y Sociedad, etc. and in renowned publishing houses such as Palgrave or Tirant Lo Blanch.
