CV summary. I obtained my degree in Biochemistry in 2004 and the Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2010, both at Universitat de València. During this period, I had the opportunity to carry out 2 short-term research secondments, one at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2 months, in 2009) and the other at Tufts University in Boston (MA, USA) (3 months, in 2010). I published 10 articles during this period, in 5 of them, I am the first author. After that, I performed post-doctoral research at the Universitat de Barcelona at Genetics department between 2010-2014, focusing on the role of Zn and other metals in yeast metabolism and its putative relation with pathological status in humans. During this period, I published 4 more articles, being the corresponding to one of them. I also collaborated in other research performed in the lab of Prof. Silvia Atrian related to the inorganic chemistry and molecular characterization of Metallothioneins in diverse organisms, publishing several papers on this area. During my stay at Universitat de Barcelona I obtained a Master Degree in University Teaching (2013). At the end of 2014, I started to work as a specialized technical staff at the Príncipe Felipe Research Center in Valencia in international project management and, from June 2016 until October 2020 I was a staff member of INCLIVA participating in different projects with different technical profiles. I am trained in project management and I obtained 2 Master's titles one in Science and Innovation Management (2016) and another in Project management (2020). From January 2019 I was the project manager of the LEGACy H2020 project in which INCLIVA is the coordinator until October 2022 when I start a new position as a lecturer at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at UV. Parallelly, during my Ph.D. and my post-doc stages, I also taught different subjects, mainly related to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or Genetics, and from October 2015 until October 2021 I was associated lecturer at Universitat de Valencia, teaching in Pharmacy, Dietetics, and Human Nutrition. Although during my last years I have been working in scientific management, I have been collaborating scientifically on various projects, contributing with my experience and advice.
. I am a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universitat de València. I graduated in Biochemistry in 2004 and obtained my PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2010 from the same university, with a thesis focused on the analysis of yeast responses to osmotic stress and nitrogen starvation during winemaking. During this period, I completed research stays at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Tufts University, in the United States. Between 2010 and 2014, I carried out my postdoctoral research at the Universitat de Barcelona, in the Department of Genetics, where I worked on the study of metal metabolism, especially zinc, in yeast models. In parallel, I began and consolidated my university teaching activity in subjects related to biology, genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology. Subsequently, between 2014 and 2021, I oriented part of my professional career towards scientific management and the coordination of research projects, mainly in the biomedical and oncology fields, at the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe and IIS INCLIVA. Since joining the Universitat de València as a lecturer, I have taught in several undergraduate and master's programmes in the biomedical and health sciences area, with a particular focus on Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Clinical Biochemistry. My current research focuses on metabolic diseases, inflammation, and liver and cardiovascular damage, within the Metabolic Syndrome Research Group at IIS INCLIVA. My career reflects an integrative profile, combining basic and translational research, university teaching, educational innovation and experience in scientific project management..
