With the intention of giving the event an open and participative character, the non-competitive foot-walking or Nordic-walking modality was also developed, where the participants were able to enjoy the route in a more leisurely way and with a lower physical requirement. The sports day concluded with the under-14s race at the finishing area of the race, which was attended by around 100 participants.

Ana Mª Gómez, director of the Sports Service, presented the awards together with the city councillor for Sports of the València City Council, Javier Mateo, thanked “the municipal sports foundation for having the UV in this popular running circuit”. The UVesports director emphasised “the great participation” and highlighted the civic responsibility of the runners: “We opened the doors of the university sports facilities to 2,700 people, who made use of them with great civic-mindedness. This behaviour, together with the impeccable work of the volunteers, ensured that the race ran smoothly and was a great success”.

The Universitat de València promotes this event every year with the aim of encouraging the practice of sports and raise awareness of the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle habits. It has the collaboration of the Municipal Sports Foundation, which organises this event belonging to the City of València Popular Running Circuit, and the support of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, Intersport, Serrano, CocaCola, El Corte Inglés and Divina Seguros.
