"Infouniversitat", the digital newspaper of the University of Valencia, begins its publication and replaces "Nou Dise"

The Press Office of the University begins to publish from today, 27 of September, the digital newspaper "Infouniversitat". This new piece of media replaces "Nou Dise", which has been printing during the previous fifteen years. "InfoUniversitat" will include news, articles, interviews, opinion articles... and will make visible the institutional social networks, as well as the television and radio productions of the University. The breakthrough of the new information technologies in journalism advises a change from the printed newspaper ‘Nou Dise’, which has fulfiled its duties for as long as 15 years, to a more dynamic electronic service that can integrate audiovisual content, photo galleries, social networks, hypertext links... A wide arrange of services which would be otherwise impossible to offer in written form. "InfoUniversitat". In a time of budget cuts due to recession, ‘InfoUniversitat’ is also cost-saving.

The initial proposal will be completed and improved in the next weeks with the addition of more sections and contributors. The "Nou Dise" newspaper library will also be readily available in pdf and page flip formats.

‘InfoUniversitat’ will be fully updated every Thursday, but digital versatility will allow to introduce permanent modifications if the current situation calls for it.
