The University of Valencia has signed an agreement with the company ProQuest to digitize and publish 2,000 doctoral dissertations. The benefits of digitization are to preserve the theses that currently are available in print format, as well as to achieve better overall dissemination and visibility to the research generated in the University of Valencia.
Once the thesis is digitized, a copy shall be deposited in the repository RODERIC, so it could be freely consulted. Moreover, ProQuest will include the thesis in its database ProQuest Dissertations and Theses A and I. This database is the most complete collection of theses and dissertations in the world, and it also includes documents from 1861 to present.
Researchers interested can contact Servei de Biblioteques by sending an e-mail to roderic@uv.es.
