Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult Carlos Esplugues, LLM (Harvard), MSc (Edinburgh), full Professor of Private International Law and International Trade Law at the University of Valencia (Spain) is completing a research stay at the Lehrstuhl für internationales Wirtschaftsrecht mit Schwerpunkt Ostasien der Universität Freiburg. Dr. Yuanshi Bu, LL.M. (Harvard).

The stay, which will last from 3 to 28 March 2025, is developed in the framework of the project Sustainable Justice in a State of Global Change (JUSOST) - CIPROM 2023-64 (GV) and is part of the long process of collaboration between Profs Bu and Esplugues.

In addition to being in contact with the various members and guests of Prof. Bu's Lehrstuhl, and of other departments of the University of Freiburg, exchanging ideas about their activities and possible future academic and research projects, during his stay Prof. Carlos Esplugues will develop various research activities focused especially on the study of the new forms of justice and access to justice, especially in relation to ADRs and the ideas of sustainability and vulnerability. As well as in relation to the control of foreign investment for national security reasons, a relevant and very actual topic on which both Prof. Bu and Esplugues have cooperated since long.
