Professor Carlos EspluguesMota, LLM (Hardvard), Msc (Edinburgh), Full University Professor of International Law of the Universitat de València and Director of the Master’s Degree in Law, Business and Justice has recently published a book titled “El control de las inversiones extranjeras directas” (2018).
The work has been published by the Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch, the biggest and with most impact in the legal field in Spain.
The book addresses a highly topical issue. Last three decades have witnessed a constant growth in the foreign inversion. Its volume and the sectors it has affected, as well as the countries involved in this process, have only steadily increased in an environment that is also favourable to international free trade and investment. However, the situation seems to vary slightly and many data, some incipient, announce a change of age in which the inversion or, at least, a certain kind of foreign inversion will no longer be as welcomed as until now. The book addresses exhaustively this new reality and analyses the way his change of tendency is already affecting the regulation of flows of foreign inversions in the compared level, analysing the solutions designed thereon by the most important world inversions issuing and recipient countries.
It is a work unparalleled with the publishing scene in Spanish language. It aims to be a referent for the field in the future.
