The "4th International Congress on Market Law", masterfully organised by the Colombian Government's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, took place in the "beautiful Colombian city" of Bucaramanga on 17 and 18 May.
This type of Congress is already a must for practitioners and academics specializing in areas such as Industrial Property Law, Competition Law and Unfair Competition, as well as Consumer Law - areas of competence of the Superintendence -, bringing together speakers of different nationalities and profiles that enrich an event that brought together more than 400 registered.
The 4th Congress, organized in lectures and round tables, in the different thematic lines mentioned above, was attended by representatives from countries such as Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Peru - as well as Colombia as the host country. Professor Guillermo Palao Moreno (Professor at the Universitat de València and member of the MedArb R&D Group) gave a lecture on "Arbitration and Consumer Law in the European Union", analysing the state of the art and future prospects in this area, and participated in the Panel on "Enforcement of Consumer Rights, an International Perspective", together with representatives from Argentina, Mexico and Peru.
