REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY STUDIES MODULE

In the second semester of the academic year 2013-2014, the University of Valencia offers three modules on Sustainability Studies, which can be taken by all students who wish to, students from the current new degrees (throughout their training period in any of the courses) or by students registered in the former Spanish degrees of licenciaturas and diplomaturas.

The courses consist of 6 credits that will be recognised in order to incorporate them to the file, as credits for the participation in university activities for the new degree students and they will also be ratified as 6 free-elective credits for the students registered in the former Spanish degrees of licenciaturas y diplomaturas.

The ERI for Sustainability (Institut Universitari de Recerca Interdisciplinar [University Institute for Interdisciplinary Research]) is responsible for the organisation and management of teaching.
The lessons will be taught from February to May 2014. They have a blended-learning character: 14 in-class sessions of 2 hours each, online teaching activities and the use of several audiovisual resources.

All the courses share common topics of basic training, but they incorporate specific content adapted to the different knowledge areas.

In-class module courses:

  • 1.Sustainability, Science and Technology. It is taught in Burjassot Campus on Thursday from 17:30 to 19:30 in the Room AI-16B, from 6 February to 29 May 2014.
  • 2.Sustainability, Culture and Education. It is taught in Blasco Ibáñez Campus on Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00 in the Aulario III Room 23, from 5 February until 21 May 2014.
  • 3.Sustainability and Society. It is taught in Tarongers Campus on Tuesday from 17:30 to 19:30 in the Room S-30, from 4 February until 27 May 2014.
