ISABEL VÁZQUEZ NAVARRO

 

Born in Cheste (Valencia, 1958). Isabel VazquezFull-University Professor of Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering. Graduate in Chemistry and Doctor in Chemistry from the University of Valencia. She received an undergraduate and doctoral theses special award, as well as the ‘Canyada Blanch de licenciatura’ award.

She develops her teaching activity in the field of chemical engineering in the following degrees: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Science and Food Technology. He has participated in several projects of educational innovation. She has recognized six periods of five years on teaching. She has directed and participated in various educational innovation projects. Participated in the working group for the development of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC) of the University of Valencia, in the Plan for the Evaluation and Improvement of Academic Performance of first-year students (PAMRA), and in the Plan of Quality of External Practices (PAPE)

Her research work is focused on optimizing multifunctional solid catalysts to increase the efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of petrochemical processes. In this field he has published numerous articles, has presented papers at conferences and has participated in competitive projects applied to the petrochemical industry. She has recognized five periods of six years on research and is co-author of two patents.

She was Secretary of the Department of Chemical Engineering (1990-1997), Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry (2002-2003), Deputy Director of the School of Engineering (2003-2006) and Vice-Principal for Research and Science Policy of the University of Valencia (2010-2014 ).
