Vincent Blay Roger, student of a doctoral programme in Chemical engineering in the School of Engineering (ETSE) and member of SocialInnoLab of the Universitat de València is one of the people sorted in Spain to take part in the 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.

Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are encounters celebrated each year to gather several Nobel laureates ─ this year, 29 of the field of chemistry─ with around 400 students, doctoral students and doctors selected around the world. The meeting will take place between June 25 and 30 in the German city of Lindau, with a programme full of presentations, colloquiums and activities. “This is a unique opportunity to get a wider perspective of chemistry that society needs. What has made them Nobel laureates, and also to get to know researchers and students interested around the world”, states Vincent.

Furthermore, Vincent Blay has been selected to take part in a post-event once the programme finishes. He will travel to Munich and Berlin to learn first-hand about the organisation and research carried out in the Max Planck Society.

SocialInnoLab, the living lab of social innovation of the Universitat de València, was born as an initiative of the Policies for Excellence Office of the Universitat de València [OPEX] with the aim of exploring different behaviours that improve the adaptation of students of the Universitat de València to the characteristics of the labour market, making it easier for them to be incorporated in this market with a training that is more appropriate for the companies’ needs.

SocialInnoLab through its new training method “Waving Ideas” promotes work placements on social innovation of undergraduate students, Doctoral students and Master’s Degree students taking part on their courses.
