From 25th to 30th June took place the 67th edition of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, annual meetings that bring together Nobel laureates and students, doctoral students and doctors from all over the world in sessions that include many activities. One of the Spanish students selected to participate in this event was Vincent Blay, student of the SocInnoLab of the Universitat de València in the academic year 2015-2016.
SocInnoLab, an initiative of the Policies for Excellence Office [OPEX] of the Universitat de València, aims to improve the adaptation of university students to the characteristics of the labour market, through its training method “Waving Ideas”, which favours practices of social innovation for the students who participate in its courses. Vincent Blay, a doctoral student in Chemical Engineering at the ETSE, was a student of the programme in the academic year 2015-2016, and the experience he gained has helped him to make the most of the proposals made at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. The meetings have been complemented by a visit to Munich and Berlin, where he has had the opportunity to know first-hand the organisation and research that takes place in the Max Planck Society.
