The educational innovation project “Sciences and Arts” revolves around Phenomenon/Problem-based learning. This educational approach aims to integrate knowledge and competences around transdisciplinary projects, breaking departmental walls and traditional academic disciplines. We synthesize all this by merging Sciences and Humanities with a Renaissance spirit.

The nature of the Faculty of Teaching is very appropriate to implement this educational approach because their alumni are the teachers of the future. Once they graduate, when teaching at Primary school it is very common to integrate knowledges of different disciplines in stimulant dynamics advocating for a horizontal or multidisciplinary training, instead of a vertical or monographic one. In addition, there are very successful experiences in other countries and educative levels with this change in their theoretical-methodological approach to improve future education.
