Biografía
Ana Fernández-Caparrós Turina es licenciada en Filología Inglesa por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Tras recibir en 2005 una beca pre-doctoral de formación investigadora FPI de la Comunidad de Madrid y el Fondo Social Europeo, se doctoró en 2011 en la misma universidad con una tesis con mención europea titulada La poética de la imaginación en el teatro de Sam Shepard. Ha desarrollado su actividad como docente e investigadora en varias universidades españolas y ha realizado estancias de investigación en varios centros estadounidenses y europeos: City University of New York (CUNY), Georgia State University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel y University of Zurich. Es miembro de los grupos de investigación: Teatro contemporáneo europeo (siglos XVIII-XXI): Crítica, recepción y trasnacionalidad (TCE), GIUV2013-091 y Literature, Arts and Performance (LAP), GIUV2017-354. Ha escrito y publicado sobre la obra de Samuel Beckett, Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Maria Irene Fornés, Sarah Ruhl y otros dramaturgos estadounidenses y británicos en libros especializados y en revistas como Contemporary Theatre Review, South Atlantic Review, Journal of Contemporary Drama y English, Atlantis o Primer Acto. Es autora del libro El teatro de Sam Shepard en el Nueva York de los sesenta (PUV 2015); coeditora, junto con Natalie Gómez Handford y Stella Ramos, del volumen Poéticas por venir, políticas del duelo (Verbum, 2014); editora, con Noelia Hernando Real y Fabio L. Vericat, del número especial de Complutense Journal of English Studies “Staging the Sounds of a Nation: The Poetic Soundscapes of the USA” (2015) y del número especial de Studies in the Literary Imagination titulado "21st-Century American Crises: Reflections, Representations, Transformations. Part 1" (2017).
