I obtained my undergraduate and M.Sc degree in Computer Science from Universitat de Valencia in 2002. Following, I obtained a B.S in Telecommunication engineering and the Certifications CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) and CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) at the Valencia Robotics Institute. I obtained a PhD on Computer Sciences at Universitat de Valencia in 2006.

My PhD studies at Universitat de Valencia aimed at understanding the underlying mechanisms that govern important sub-cellular processes such as the exocytosis and endocytosis. My training and research was partly carried out at Derek Toomre group (CINEMA Lab) at Yale University (US).

As a post-doctoral fellow (Juan de la Cierva), I joined the Group for Computational Imaging and Simulation Technologies in Biomedicine (CISTIB) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra . There, I turned my research to the phylosophy of the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH). In particular, I focused on modeling and simulation in cardiology with the goal of modeling patho-physiology of the heart. Afterwards, I moved to the Bioelectronic group (GBIO) at I3BH Institute, Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, where I started modeling the human torso in order to study the effects of arrythmias in the surface ECG.
