Sacramento Pinazo Hernandis Sacramento Pinazo Hernandis
Sacramento Pinazo Hernandis (Valencia, 1964) is doctor in Psychology and graduated in Pedagogy from the Universitat de València. She has a PhD in Community Psychology and tenured professor of Social Psychology in the Universitat de València since 1999. She is director of the University Programme for People over 55 years old, “UniMajors”. She is director of the official master's degree in Social and Health Care in Dependency of the Universitat de València since 2010, Initiatives Chief of the Office of the Vice‐Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, coordinator of the Research Unit on Psychosocial Intervention in Ageing of the Faculty of Psychology, coordinator of the Active Ageing and Intergenerational Relations Academic Unit of the Gandia Internacional Centre. She also is part of the Intergenerational Network of IMSERSO since 2006. She has published numerous studies about Psychosocial Intervention, Community Psychology and Gerontology. She teaches at the Faculty of Psychology of this university.
Rosa Redolat Rosa Redolat
Rosa Redolat Iborra is full university professor in Psychobiology at the Faculty of Psychology of the Universitat de València. She got her PhD in this university with a doctoral thesis titled “Efectos del sulpiride sobre la conducta agonística en ratones” (“Effects of the sulpiride on the agonistic behaviour in mice”). Within the Department of Psychobiology she belongs to the following research group: “Estrés i salut: vulnerabilitat i resistència” (ESSA - Stress and Health: Vulnerability and Resistance). Her main research lines are “effects of the nicotine” and “cognitive ageing” with the results of which she has developed numerous publications. Recently emphasise: “Nicotina y modelos animales, ¿qué nos aporta el modelo de enriquecimiento ambiental?” (“Nicotine and Animal Models, what does the Behavioural Enrichment provide us?”) or “La estimulación mental como factor potenciador de la reserva cognitiva y el envejecimiento activo (Mental Stimulation as enabling factor of the cognitive reserve and active ageing”). In her teaching task she teaches in the Degree in Psychology, and in the Master’s Degrees in Basic and Applied Neurosciences, in Developments in Research and Treatment in Psychopathology and Health, and in Psychogerontology.
 Carolina Villada Carolina Villada
Carolina Villada Rodríguez is graduated in Psychology from the Universitat de València and doctoral student in the Neuroscience programme, with quality award, of the Department of Psychobiology of the same university. Since 2011 she is co-author of around ten scientific publications in national and international journals as a result of her researcher task at the Laboratory of Social Cognitive Neuroscience (LabNSC) of the Department of Psychobiology in the Faculty of Psychology of the Universitat de València, where she investigates on the biological bases of the animal and human response to social interactions, stress, ageing and memory.
 Vanesa Hidalgo Vanesa Hidalgo
Vanesa Hidalgo Calvo is graduated in Psychology from the Universitat de València and doctoral student in the Neuroscience programme, with quality award, of the Department of Psychobiology of this university. He has published around ten research articles with the group formed by the Laboratory of Social Cognitive Neuroscience (LabNSC) of the university both in the national and international fields, and among the most recent we emphasise “Estrés y cambios cognitivos asociados al envejecimiento. Proyecto MNEME” (“Stress and Cognitive Changes Associated to Ageing. MNEME Project”). She is also responsible for the Hormonal Analysis Lab within the research group.
 Matias Pulopulos Matías Pulópulos
Matías Miguel Pulópulos Tripianas is Psychologist graduated from the University of Salamanca. He has worked in the “Neuropsychological Evaluation Unit” in Salamanca and in the lab for “Transcriptional Control of the Neural Plasticity” in the Instituto de Neurociencies of Alicante. He holds the Master’s Degree in Psychogerontology from the Universitat de València and currently he is a predoctoral researcher on Neurosciences, with quality award, at the Faculty of Biological Sciences of this university. He takes part of the research group of the Laboratory of Social Cognitive Neuroscience (LabNSC), with which he has published scientific articles related to the biology of cognitive ageing and memory.
 Julio Fernández Garrido Julio Fernández Garrido
Dean of the Faculty of Nursing of the Universitat de València. He is a nurse, an anthropologist and doctor in Social Anthropology, and professor of the Department of Nursing since the year 1992. He is also professor at the Universitat dels Majors in Gandia. After some years in which he combined his labour as professor with the medical and healthcare activity in the field of Emergency (Hospital Clínic Universitari of València) and, subsequently, of Geriatrics (Public Nursing Home in Silla), he dedicated his professional career to the teaching and research context in the Universitat de València. He is coordinator of the ‘Recovery’ module in the Master’s Degree in Social and Health Care in Dependency of the Universitat de València. His teaching experience is complemented with a rich research activity (author of books, numerous book chapters of worldwide dissemination, scientific articles, over fifty lectures and communications in scientific conferences supported by different Institutions (F.I.S.S., I.V.I.I., I.M.P.I.V.A., Leonardo da Vinci and other), which has been gradually drifting in the last years towards the research on the factors that have influence on the quality of life in different situations of the life cycle (chronicity, fragility and dependency) and towards the anthropology of treatments. Fernández has collaborated systematically with different institutions and international and national associations for the promotion of the research and the promotion of the teaching in nursing, which led him to be a member of the National Committee of Experts for the design of the Specialties in Nursing, organised by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. Currently, he occupies the secretary position.
 Desiree Camus Desiree Camus
Desirée Camus Jorques is university adjunct professor of the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry of the Universitat de València. She is a nurse of the Emergency Health Care Services (SAMU) in Xàtiva, a task that she combines with the teaching at the university of the subjects of Medical-Surgeon Nursing and Outpatient Emergency Nursing, Emergencies and Catastrophes in the Degree in Nursing. Furthermore, she is chairperson of the of the association “Teaching and Research in Outpatient Medical Emergencies” (DIEMEH), and she is co-author of the publication “Riesgos asistenciales, bases anatómicas, fisiológicas y fisiopatológicas de los aparatos y sistemas corporales” (“Healthcare risks, anatomical, physiological and pathophysiological basis of the corporal tracts and systems”).
 Omar Cauli Omar Cauli
Omar Cauli is tenure-track 1 professor of the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry of the Universitat de València. He got his PhD from this university with a thesis named “Alteraciones motoras en hiperanomia y encefalopatia hepática: papel de los receptores del glutamano” (“Motor conditions in hyperamonemia and hepatic encephalopathy: the role of the glutamate receptors”). Since then he has published dozens of research articles in scientific journals in the field of the pathophysiology and the clinical chemistry. As a professor he teaches “Biophysics and Biochemistry”, “Physiology”, “Pathophysiology”, and “Introduction to the Research in the Nursing Field”, in the degrees of Podiatry, Nursing and in the master's degree in Oncology Nursing.
 Pedro Pimienta Pedro Pimienta
Pedro Pimienta Fermisson Ramos is graduated in Nursing from the Universitat de València and has a master's degree in Research in Nursing Sciences from the University of Alicante. He has worked as a nurse in the Health Agency of Valencia, the Health Service of Morvedre and in the socio-sanitary field of the homes and day centres. Among his health occupations emphasise the work on hemodialysis, and the field of emergencies and observation. He has also taught first aids in the Valencian Federation of Rescue and Lifesaving. He is a member of the research team in community involvement and local development in Buñol of the Universitat de València. Nowadays, he works as a nurse in sanitary transport and in preventive services at the Health Services in Morvedre.
 Lourdes Margaix Lourdes Margaix
Lourdes Margaix Fontestad is nurse, obstetrician, and doctor in Science History and Documentation from the Universitat de València, with a doctoral thesis titled: "Adopció de la innovació per part dels docents de ciències de la salut de la Universitat de València respecte al projecte OCW (Open Course Ware)” (“Adoption of the innovation on the part of the health sciences teaching body of the Universitat de València regarding the OCW (Open Course Ware) Project”). As a health professional, apart from her assistance task, she is the president of the Associació de Comares of the Valencian Community and advisor of the Spanish Federation of Obstetricians Associations (FAME). As a teacher she is temporary professor of the Department of Nursing of the Universitat de València, teaching in the Degrees of Podiatry and Nursing in topics as Biostatistics, and Information and Communications Technology applied to Health, Methodological Basis of Treatments, and Health in the child, adolescent and women collectives.
  Antonio Martínez
Antonio Martínez Sabater is temporary professor of the department of Nursing in the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry of the Universitat de València. His area of research are Geriatrics and Public Health, from which he has published several research works. Among his works on the health of young people emphasise: "Hábitos de salud en los jóvenes de Gandía” (“Health habits in the young people of Gandia”), "Hábitos de salud en escolares en ámbito urbano y rural" (“Health habits in grade schoolers in the rural and urban environment”) o "Hábitos de sueño de la población infantil del Grau de Gandía” (“Sleeping habits of the child population of the Grau de Gandia”). And in the world of geriatrics we can find: "Epidemiología de la colitis ulcerosa en la población geriátrica del área de La Safor” (“Epidemiology of ulcerative colitis in the geriatric population in the La Safor environment”) o "Valoración del riesgo de pie diabético en el paciente anciano en una consulta de enfermería” (“Risk assessment of diabetic foot in elderly patients in a nursing consulting”), among others. In his teaching task he is in charge of the teaching in Medical-Surgical Nursing and the coordination of the practicum of the young nurses of the Universitat de València.
 Ismael Fernandez Ismael Fernández
José Ismael Fernández Guerrero is full university professor of Economic Structure at the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València. He got his PhD in 1992 with a doctoral thesis titled “El sector de la economía española. Funciones del comportamiento” (“The Spanish Economic Sector. Functions of the behaviour”), and since then he has developed a productive research career with numerous scientific publications in the field of transport and the logistics from an economic point of view. His publications deal with the effects and relations of the Spanish and Valencian economic market in the context of the European Union, emphasising the structural funds, the effects of the extension of the Union, or the relation with the South American market. Currently he is a retired PDI (teaching and research staff).
 Aurora Pedro Aurora Pedro
Aurora Pedro Bueno is tenured professor of the Department of Applied Economics of the Universitat de València. She got her PhD in 1996 with a thesis titled “Espacio urbano y política de vivienda en España durante los años ochenta” (“Urban space and housing policy in Spain during the 1980s”). Her main research lines are tourism and housing, from which she has developed numerous works in scientific publications. He has also been in charge of the agreement of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) with the Universitat de València, she has been academic director of the master’s degree WTO-Open University of Catalonia, and of the Course of Tourism as an Instrument for the Cooperation to the Development of the WTO, in its Spanish edition. As a professor, she teaches at the degrees in Tourism and Law, and in the master’s degrees in Tourism Management and Planning, and in Gender and Equality Policies.
 Joan Carles Gomis Joan Carles Gomis
Joan Carles Gomis Corell is adjunct professor of the department of Art History of the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de València. Second Cycle Vocational Training and graduated in Fine Arts, he got his PhD with a doctoral thesis titled “La armonía musical en la teoría arquitectónica de Leon Battista Alberti” (“Musical harmony in the architectonic theory of Leon Battista Alberti”). In his research side he works in “theory and architecture of the Renaissance, “methodology and historiography of art” and “the tradition of the Valencian ‘gozos’”. From this researches he has published dozens of articles in specialised journals and collaborations in collective works. As a professor he teaches the subjects of “Music History” and “Hispanic Medieval Art History” in the Degree in Art History.
  Pablo Cisneros
Pablo Cisneros Álvarez is doctor in Art History from the Universitat de València. His doctoral thesis focused on the engraved image of the city of Valencia between 1499 and 1695. He has published several articles and collaborations in collective works: "La arquitectura de la portada y retablos de San Miguel Arcángel de Burjassot. Reflejo de los modelos figurativos de A. Pozzo” (“Architecture of the façades and altarpieces of San Miguel Arcángel of Burjassot. Reflection of the figurative models of A. Pozzo”) or "La herència clásica palladiana en dos proyectos catedralicios valencianos” (“The Palladian classical heritage in two Valencian cathedral projects”). Apart from that, Pablo Cisneros has a long experience as a speaker in talks and events in different cities, and conferences on art in Valencia and its surroundings.
